President Herzog was formally received by Ethiopia’s President, Taye Atske Selassie, with whom he discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including political cooperation, regional stability, and people-to-people relations.
In a statement released following the meeting, President Herzog thanked his Ethiopian counterpart for the warm reception and extended an invitation for a reciprocal visit to Israel. He highlighted the deep-rooted relationship between Israel and Ethiopia, noting the role of the Ethiopian Jewish community as a living bridge between the two nations.
The Israeli President said both sides agreed to continue building on their long-standing friendship and historical ties through sustained dialogue and cooperation.
