Nairobi (Horn post) Gideon Behar has paid a courtesy call on Ali Mohamed, Kenya’s Special Envoy on Climate Change, as part of efforts to deepen dialogue on advancing sustainable solutions and green growth.
According to officials familiar with the meeting, discussions focused on promoting practical, technology-driven climate solutions, including carbon reduction initiatives, renewable energy development, climate-smart agriculture, and the expansion of innovation ecosystems.
Both sides emphasized the importance of scaling climate-technology partnerships, increasing green investment, and empowering youth-led innovation as key tools to address the growing impacts of climate change, particularly drought and food insecurity.
With Kenya positioning itself as a regional leader in renewable energy and emerging carbon markets, participants noted strong potential to further enhance cooperation between Kenya and Israel through practical, solution-oriented collaboration.
The meeting underscored the view that effective climate action is best achieved through partnerships, reaffirming a shared commitment to translating climate ambitions into tangible implementation.
