Dubai (Horn post) Ethiopia is putting its premium coffee on the global stage at the World of Coffee Dubai 2026 Exhibition, which opened today at the Dubai World Trade Center. The country is represented by 24 leading coffee exporters, actively engaging with international buyers, roasters, and investors to promote Ethiopian coffee and strengthen trade relations.
The Ethiopian Pavilion was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the UAE, Jemal Beker, the Consul General of Ethiopia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Zerihun Megersa, and Director General of the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, Adugna Debela. The pavilion emphasizes Ethiopia’s position as the birthplace of coffee and a leading origin in the global specialty coffee market.
Now in its 5th edition, World of Coffee Dubai 2026 is the Middle East’s premier platform for the specialty coffee industry, connecting producers, manufacturers, retailers, traders, and industry leaders from across the globe. This year’s exhibition features over 2,100 global brands and 17,000 coffee professionals from 78 countries, reflecting the scale and influence of the international coffee market.
Ethiopia’s participation highlights its ambition to expand its specialty coffee footprint, attract investment, and showcase its unique coffee varieties to a global audience.
