
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — (Horn Post) Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud held a phone conversation with Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Abdi Ali, to discuss bilateral relations and regional security, according to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministers reviewed cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Somalia and explored ways to strengthen ties between the two countries.
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the two officials reaffirmed their support for the Federal Republic of Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, rejecting any actions that could undermine the country’s security and stability.
They also underscored the importance of safeguarding international waterways and ensuring freedom of navigation, amid ongoing security concerns in the Red Sea and surrounding maritime routes.
The phone call reflects continued diplomatic engagement between Riyadh and Mogadishu as both countries seek to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote regional stability.
