Hargeisa (Hornpost) Today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Somaliland chaired by the President of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi (Cirro) accompanied by the Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland Mr. Mohamed Ali Aw Abdi was held today at the Somaliland Presidential Palace.
The agenda that was discussed at the 24th session of the Council of Ministers, apart from the Security and Economic Report of the country, consisted entirely of the Debate and Approval of three laws that are important for the smooth functioning of the nation.
The report on the security and stability of the country: It was informed by the Minister of the Ministry of Interior and Security, Mr. Abdallah Mohamed Arab, saying that the security and stability of the country is secure, and there is no crisis.
Report on Financial Affairs, Revenue and Economy of the country: It was informed by the Minister of State for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Ismail Mawlid Abdilahi, who shared with the Assembly important reports related to the expansion, the state of income, and the preparation of the national budget for 2026- and the re-evaluation of the Use and Implementation of World Bank Projects.
After the Security and Economic Report, the Debate and Approval of the Regulations was conducted:
- Electricity Authority of the Republic of Somaliland,
- Industrial Law of the Republic of Somaliland,
- Law of Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Somaliland,
The President instructed the Council of Ministers to discuss the three laws in front of them, make changes and supplements, and then approve them by a show of hands.
The Council of Ministers had a long discussion and analysis on the three Rules, while the former Attorney General of the Government and the Ministers concerned with the 3 Laws gave details and details about the Rules before the Assembly.
After that, the President of the Republic of Somaliland instructed the Council of Ministers to vote one by one on the Rules. The members of the Council of Ministers who attended the 24th session were 34 members. The Council of Ministers voted for all three laws so that they are not separated, while no one rejected or remained silent on all three laws.
The President told the House that the Rules will be submitted to the House of Representatives to fulfill their legal duties.
