Dubai – (Horn post) The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Irro), and the delegation accompanying him on an official working visit to the United Arab Emirates have attended a formal State Dinner held in Dubai, marking a notable moment in Somaliland’s ongoing international engagement.
The high-level dinner was attended by Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, brother of His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom, reflecting the level of international attention and diplomatic interaction surrounding the event.
According to official sources, the State Dinner underscored the long-standing historical ties and friendly relations between the Republic of Somaliland and the United Kingdom. Also in attendance was Sir Gavin Williamson MP, a Member of the UK House of Commons, who is widely regarded as a strong supporter of Somaliland. Sir Gavin has consistently advocated for Somaliland’s political case and sovereignty within British and international political forums.
