
Somaliland Planning Minister Hosts EU-TAPF Officials to Strengthen Development Cooperation.
HARGEISA, Somaliland (Horn post) Somaliland’s Minister of Planning and National Development Kaltun Sheikh Hassan Abdi on Sunday held talks with senior officials from the EU-funded Technical Assistance Partnership Facility (EU-TAPF) aimed at strengthening development cooperation and institutional capacity-building in Somaliland.
The meeting, held in Hargeisa, was attended by the ministry’s Director General Mohamed Said Mahmoud, EU-TAPF Project Head Steve Hind and Deputy Project Head Mohamed Farah and Ambassador Adnan Hagog.
Discussions focused on how Somaliland can benefit from the technical support provided through the EU-TAPF program, which is managed by DAI.
Officials reviewed ways to expand cooperation in national planning, strengthen government institutional capacity and improve technical support for the implementation of Somaliland’s national development programs.
Minister Kaltun thanked the EU-TAPF officials for their continued cooperation and support, saying the partnership would play a key role in enhancing government institutions, improving public services and accelerating Somaliland’s national development agenda.
