HARGEISA, Somaliland (Horn post) — Somaliland’s ambassador to Israel, Amb. Mohamed Haji said a recent phone conversation between the President of Somaliland Abdirahman Mohamed Irro
and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu marked a “new level” in relations between the two sides.
Amb. Haji said the call underscored both leaders’ commitment to strengthening cooperation in key areas including peace, national defense, economic development, and political relations based on what he described as an emerging friendship.
“I am pleased to witness the important conversation between the President of the Republic of Somaliland and the Prime Minister of Israel. Both leaders demonstrated their commitment to elevating bilateral relations to the highest level across all sectors,” Amb. Mohamed Haji said.
Amb. Mohamed Haji added that the discussion also focused on reinforcing internal stability, safeguarding national sovereignty, and expanding new frameworks for economic and political cooperation.
