
Mogadishu, (Horn post) Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama today inaugurated the National Agriculture Coordination Forum, an initiative led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation aimed at strengthening coordination and collaboration across the country’s agricultural development programs.
The forum brings together various government ministries and international agencies, including FAO and WFP change.
Maxamed Abdi Hayir Mareye, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, highlighted that participants targeted by the initiative are economically empowered individuals. He stressed that the ministry is committed to increasing agricultural output and improving irrigation systems across Somalia.
The forum represents a major step toward coordinated agricultural development and long-term food security in the country.
