Kuwait (Hornpost) The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalan Abdi Ali, who is currently on an official visit to the State of Kuwait, met today with his counterpart, H.E. Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the strong and longstanding brotherly relations between Somalia and Kuwait. They reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields and exchanged views on recent regional and international developments.
Following the meeting, the two sides signed three agreements and memorandums of understanding, reflecting their mutual commitment to deepening diplomatic ties and institutional collaboration. The signed documents include:
The establishment of a joint committee to enhance bilateral cooperation.
A bilateral consultation agreement between the two ministries.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute of Kuwait and the Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
These agreements mark a significant step in advancing strategic partnership and strengthening diplomatic frameworks between the two nations.
