Mogadishu, (Hornpost) The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, met today at the National Presidency with various sections of the Somali civil society. The meeting is a prelude to the meeting called by the President on June 15, 2025.
The president noted the importance of the Somali people, especially the civil society, having a prominent role in shaping the future of the country.
“If we want Somalia to move forward, we must move from where we stand and stay for a long time. The democratization of the country is an important pillar of the government, and we must give the Somali people a full opportunity to be part of the decision-making process of their destiny.”
Considering the importance of a real consultation based on the regulation of the public interest, the President said that he will continue his series of meetings with different sections of the society, in order to strengthen the preparation of the bed.
These meetings will focus on issues that are challenging the country’s government, such as the federal system, the constitution, elections, and security.
