Adiss Ababa (Hornpost) The East African Development Authority (IGAD) stated that Ethiopia’s selection to host the 32nd United Nations Climate Conference recognizes its commitment to climate change action and green development.
The secretary general of the organization Workneh Gebeyehu (Dr.) has sent a congratulatory message following her selection to host the Ethiopian Cup 32
In their message, Ethiopia being chosen to host the international conference shows that its leadership on climate and development is growing.
They have noted that her work has been recognized for bringing back the environmental culture to where it was, sustainable development and building unbreakable capacity.
They said that the green footprint and the great Ethiopian Renaissance dam are the signs of the green development of Ethiopia.
Cop 32 has stated that it is the next and important platform for IGAD, and the institution has pointed out that drought, climate change will draw more attention to other urgent agendas such as displacement of citizens and water scarcity.
