MOGADISHU, (Horn post) — The League of Arab States on Tuesday adopted Resolution No. 9245 during an extraordinary ministerial-level meeting held via videoconference, strongly condemning recent Iranian attacks targeting several Arab countries.
In a statement, the Council denounced Iran’s use of ballistic missiles and drones, describing the strikes as a “flagrant violation” of Arab sovereignty and a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Council stressed that any attack on one Arab state constitutes an attack on all member states, expressing full solidarity with affected countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan and Iraq.
The resolution called on Iran to immediately comply with relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2817, and to halt all actions threatening regional peace and security. It also held Iran responsible for damages resulting from the attacks and emphasized the need for reparations in line with international law.
The Council further highlighted the targeting of civilian infrastructure — including airports, oil facilities, and water and food systems — describing such actions as serious violations of international humanitarian law.
