ADDIS ABABA — (Horn Post) Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedion Timothewos, on Tuesday received the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Zahrani, for talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional issues.
According to Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Gedion praised the long-standing diplomatic ties between Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia, describing the relationship as one built on mutual cooperation and shared interests.
During the meeting, the two officials exchanged views on regional peace and security, discussing developments of mutual concern and the importance of continued collaboration to promote stability in the Horn of Africa and the wider region.
The discussions also focused on expanding cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest. In addition, both sides reviewed issues affecting Ethiopian nationals living and working in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the need for continued coordination to safeguard their welfare.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia to further deepen their bilateral partnership and enhance cooperation on regional and international matters.
