
JERUSALEM, Israel (Horn post) — The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi “Irro”, received a high-level diplomatic welcome from Gideon Sa’ar, the Foreign Minister of Israel, as the Somaliland delegation continued the second day of its official state visit to Israel.
The bilateral meeting, held at the headquarters of Israel’s Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, focused on strengthening diplomatic relations, expanding strategic cooperation, and reinforcing shared interests between Somaliland and Israel.
According to officials present at the meeting, discussions centered on multiple priority sectors, including security cooperation, economic development, foreign investment, technology transfer, social development initiatives, and expanding people-to-people relations between both sides.
President Irro and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar delivered diplomatic remarks emphasizing their shared commitment to advancing a stronger bilateral partnership built on mutual respect, common interests, and long-term sustainable development.
Both leaders underlined the importance of building a durable framework for cooperation that could open new opportunities for collaboration across political, economic, and strategic sectors.
