HARGEISA, Somaliland (Horn post) The President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro on Tuesday extended Eid al-Adha greetings and congratulations to the people of Somaliland at home and abroad, urging citizens to strengthen unity, compassion and support for vulnerable communities during the Islamic holiday.
In a statement issued ahead of the celebrations, the president prayed for Allah to accept the good deeds of the Somaliland people and grant them peace, health and prosperity in the coming year.
Irro emphasized that Eid al-Adha is a time rooted in mercy, brotherhood and solidarity, encouraging citizens to reinforce social cohesion, mutual assistance and care for those in need.
The Somaliland leader also expressed special appreciation to the country’s various national security forces, government workers, religious scholars, business leaders, youth, women and other sectors of society for their role in safeguarding Somaliland’s stability, unity and nationhood.
He concluded by wishing the Somaliland nation a blessed Eid marked by prosperity, happiness, national unity and success.
“Eid Mubarak,” the statement said.
