HARGEISA, Somaliland (Horn post) The Commander of the Somaliland Coast Guard, Admiral Ahmed Hure Haire, alongside the First Deputy Commander, Colonel Khadar Mohamed Isse, held a courtesy and introductory meeting with senior officials from the EU Capacity Building Mission in Somaliland (EUCAP Somaliland).
The meeting, which took place at the Coast Guard Headquarters in Hargeisa, brought together EUCAP representatives Mr. Allane, Mr. Bert, and Mahad, who are based in the organization’s Hargeisa office.
Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Somaliland Coast Guard and EUCAP, particularly in areas of maritime security, institutional capacity building, and operational coordination.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to enhance maritime safety and improve the effectiveness of coastal security operations in the region.
Officials described the meeting as part of ongoing engagement efforts aimed at reinforcing professional ties and supporting long-term security development within Somaliland’s maritime sector.
