ABU DHABI (Horn Post) — The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defense said its air defense systems are “actively engaging” missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) reportedly launched by Iran toward the UAE.
In a statement posted on X, the ministry said, “Audible alerts heard across the country reflect our air defense systems successfully intercepting incoming threats, including missiles and UAVs.”
The statement urged civilians to remain calm and follow safety instructions issued by relevant authorities, emphasizing preparedness and public safety during potential airspace incursions.
Officials described the response as part of a broader commitment to national security, underscoring the UAE’s capability to counter aerial threats and protect critical infrastructure.
