Hargeisa (hornpost.com) Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Irro today visited the General Command of the Somaliland Fire Brigade as part of his inspection of the country’s security and armed forces.
During the visit, President Irro received a Guard of Honor presented by units of the Somaliland Armed Forces. He also recognized the contributions of several soldiers by awarding them medals for their distinguished service and performance.
The President was accompanied by members of the Somaliland Cabinet, the Chief of Police, the Mayor of Hargeisa, and military advisers attached to his office.
The visit marked the conclusion of President Irro’s inspection tour of the Somaliland Armed Forces, during which he reviewed military and security institutions and met with personnel.
The inspection comes as the Somaliland government continues efforts to strengthen the capacity, discipline and professionalism of its security institutions.
