JERUSALEM — (Horn post) President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi Irro of the Republic of Somaliland and his delegation visited the internationally recognized humanitarian medical organization Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) in Israel, where they met Somaliland children who recently underwent successful life-saving heart surgeries.
Save a Child’s Heart (SACH), headquartered in Israel, is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to providing advanced cardiac treatment and life-saving heart surgeries for children suffering from serious heart diseases, regardless of nationality, religion, ethnicity, or political background.
Since its establishment, the organization has helped save the lives of thousands of children from countries across the world by providing specialized cardiac surgeries and advanced medical care.
During the visit, President Irro and his delegation were received by senior officials and doctors from the medical center, where they were briefed on the organization’s humanitarian work and its medical partnership supporting children from Somaliland.
As part of President Irro’s ongoing official visit to Israel, eight children from Somaliland were recently brought to the Save a Child’s Heart Center, where they successfully underwent specialized heart operations.
Officials confirmed that several Somaliland children had previously also received successful cardiac surgeries through the same humanitarian medical program.
President Irro personally visited the Somaliland children recovering at the hospital and met with their parents, expressing emotional support while praying for their full recovery.
The Somaliland leader expressed deep gratitude to the management and medical team of Save a Child’s Heart for their humanitarian efforts, particularly for helping save the lives of Somaliland children and other vulnerable children worldwide who require specialized heart treatment but lack access to advanced medical care.
The visit highlights growing humanitarian and healthcare cooperation between Somaliland and Israel, particularly in expanding access to specialized medical treatment for Somaliland children requiring advanced cardiac care.
The development also reflects Somaliland’s increasing international engagement in global health partnerships aimed at strengthening healthcare services and improving life-saving medical access for vulnerable communities.
