HARGEISA, Somaliland (Horn post) KAAH Party Chairman Mahmoud Hashi Abdi said Somaliland’s diaspora community plays a crucial role in rebuilding the country, strengthening security, and supporting economic and political development.
KAAH Party Chairman Mahmoud Hashi Abdi described the diaspora as a key pillar of national stability and progress, emphasizing their contributions to state-building efforts.
“The diaspora is a major force that is away from Somaliland, but it plays a central role in rebuilding the country, maintaining its security, strengthening state institutions, and supporting both the economy and politics,” Hashi said.
KAAH Party Leader also noted that diaspora communities have significant influence in Somaliland’s political landscape, adding that the KAAH Party places strong value on their engagement and contributions.
“The diaspora has great influence in politics, and the KAAH Party highly values Somaliland’s diaspora community,” he added.
Somaliland continues to rely heavily on its overseas citizens for investment, remittances, and political engagement as it seeks international recognition and development.
