Explosions Reported in Tehran Amid Internet Restrictions

Tehran | Iran (Horn post) Explosions have been reported in Tehran as communications remain heavily restricted across the country. Local sources and residents say that the blasts were heard in multiple areas of the city, though details remain limited due to ongoing internet blackouts.

According to BBC Persian journalist Ghoncheh Habibiazad, a resident of Tehran described hearing explosions from a distance during a recent interview. The individual expressed concern over the current leadership in Iran, stating that the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei alone would not suffice, and that all responsible officials should step down.

The residents also reported seeing security forces deployed on several streets throughout the city, although most roads appeared largely deserted, reflecting heightened tension and caution among the population.

Limited Verification Due to Internet Blackouts

Ongoing internet restrictions and communication barriers make it difficult to independently verify the scale or exact locations of the explosions. Observers note that the lack of digital reporting has created uncertainty over the full extent of the situation in Tehran.

Security analysts warn that restricted access to information could fuel public anxiety and complicate international monitoring of developments within Iran.
