Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Appoints Salah Ali Jeelle as Senior Presidential Adviser.

MOGADISHU, Somalia — (Horn post) Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed veteran politician and diplomat Salah Ali Jeelle as Senior Adviser to the President, according to a statement issued by the Presidency on Sunday.

 

The appointment is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic advisory functions, planning, coordination and national development initiatives within the Office of the President.

 

Jeelle, a seasoned public servant, has held various senior positions throughout his career and is widely recognized for his extensive experience in governance, state-building and public administration.

 

President Hassan Sheikh praised the new adviser’s expertise, dedication and longstanding service to the nation, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively carry out the responsibilities of the role.

 

“The appointment reflects the importance of strengthening advisory and policy coordination mechanisms in support of national priorities,” the presidency said in the statement.

 

The Somali leader wished Jeelle success in his new position and urged him to serve the country with integrity, professionalism and commitment to advancing Somalia’s development and state-building agenda.

 

Jeelle’s appointment comes as the federal government continues efforts to enhance institutional capacity and accelerate reforms aimed at improving governance and public service delivery across the country.
